About Big Bullion
Who we are and how we're different.
Who is Big Bullion?
Big Bullion Pte Ltd is a Singapore-based precious metals dealer. We sell and buy back physical investment-grade gold and silver — bars and coins from world-renowned refiners and mints — and we also purchase gold jewellery and scrap at fair, live-spot-based prices. We're a registered Regulated Dealer under Singapore's precious metals dealer regime, so every transaction is handled securely and in line with the country's compliance requirements.

Our Products
What we sell and how we guarantee it.
What do you sell?
We stock investment-grade physical gold and silver:
- Gold and silver bars from LBMA-recognised refiners such as PAMP Suisse, Argor-Heraeus, Perth Mint and Heraeus, in a range of sizes.
- Bullion coins from major sovereign mints, such as the US Mint and others.
We also buy gold jewellery and gold scrap. If there's a specific product you're after, just ask — we can source most mainstream bullion.
What is "bullion", and what does "oz" mean?
Bullion is physical gold or silver valued primarily by its metal content and purity rather than by any collectible or artistic value. Prices are quoted per troy ounce ("oz"), the international standard for precious metals. One troy ounce is about 31.10 grams — slightly heavier than the everyday (avoirdupois) ounce of 28.35 grams.
Is gold and silver GST-free in Singapore?
Most of the bars and coins we sell qualify as Investment Precious Metals (IPM), which have been exempt from GST in Singapore since October 2012. To qualify, metal must meet minimum purity standards (gold 99.5%, silver 99.9%, platinum 99%), be tradeable internationally and be priced based on the metal's spot value. Singapore also has no capital gains tax, so qualifying investment bullion can be bought and sold without GST or capital gains tax.
How do I know my bullion is genuine?
Authenticity is central to what we do. Items at our store are verified using a Sigma Metalytics PMV Pro, which confirms a piece is solid, genuine metal without damaging it. When you buy from us, your bullion is checked before it reaches you; when you sell to us, we authenticate on the spot so you have full confidence in every transaction.

Why did the price change while I was deciding?
Gold and silver trade on live global markets, so quoted prices move throughout the day with the spot price and currency rates. Your price only becomes locked for 10 minutes once you confirm your order at the checkout page.
Pricing
How we price, and why bullion trades above spot.
What is the "spot price"?
The spot price is the current global market price for immediate settlement of gold or silver, usually quoted in US dollars per troy ounce. It's set continuously by major markets in London, New York and Asia, and it moves with supply, demand and currency rates.
Why hasn't the spot price moved?
Spot prices update only while the major metals exchanges are open. Over weekends and certain public holidays the markets close, so the spot price stays unchanged until trading resumes.
Why does physical bullion cost more than the spot price?
Physical metal carries a small premium over spot to cover refining, minting, transport, insurance and handling. Premiums vary by product, brand, size and availability — larger bars generally carry a lower premium per ounce than small bars or coins. The premium is simply the cost of owning real, tangible metal in your hand rather than a paper claim.
Payment
How to pay, and the rules we follow.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept PayNow, bank transfer and credit card.
Credit card payments (Visa / Mastercard / Amex) are subject to additional processing fees, in-store and online:
- Domestic (Visa / Mastercard / Amex) — 2.9%
- International — 3.9%
- WeChat — 1.5%
Can someone else pay for my order?
For anti-money-laundering reasons, payment should come from an account in your own name that matches your order. Third-party payments — from another person, company or trust that isn't the account holder — can't be accepted. If you're buying through a company or trust, the payment should come from that entity's account.
When do I need to pay?
Payment is completed at checkout using your preferred method, right after your price locks. Because your price is only held for 10 minutes against a moving market, prompt payment keeps your locked price valid.
Selling & Trade-In
Our buyback program for bullion, jewellery and scrap.
Do you buy back gold and silver?
Yes. We run an active buyback program and regularly purchase investment-grade gold and silver — bars and coins — regardless of where you originally bought them. We also buy gold jewellery and scrap. Our buyback prices are based on the live spot price with no hidden fees, and we aim to pay more than the larger dealers on comparable items.
How does selling to Big Bullion work?
Let us know what you'd like to sell and we'll quote you a price based on the current spot. Once you accept, your price is locked, we authenticate your items in person, and payment is made promptly by bank transfer to an account in your name. Jewellery and scrap are assessed for weight and purity before we confirm the final price.
Will you need my ID when I sell to you?
Yes. As a Regulated Dealer we're required to verify identity on buyback transactions, so we'll ask for a copy of your NRIC or passport. This keeps every transaction compliant with Singapore's anti-money-laundering and record-keeping rules, and protects both sides against fraud.
How will I be paid for what I sell?
You can receive your payment through either PayNow or bank transfer within 2 business days. Please contact us if you would like to sell your bars or jewellery.
Packaging
How your bullion arrives.
How is my bullion packaged?
Every order is packed in a fitted sleeve for protection, with a care card explaining how to look after your metal and a QR code linking to our community channels. It's presentation you'll be proud to keep — or to give.
Rewards & Referrals
Perks for new, returning and referring customers.
Are there rewards for returning customers?
We reward loyalty through membership tiers and store credit, so the more you buy over time, the more value you unlock on future orders.
Can I earn anything by referring friends?
Absolutely. Our referral program rewards you with store credit when someone you refer makes a purchase. Reach out for your referral details.
Compliance & Security
How we keep transactions safe and above board.
Is Big Bullion a registered dealer?
Yes. Big Bullion operates as a Regulated Dealer under Singapore's regime for precious stones and precious metals dealers. That means we maintain proper anti-money-laundering (AML) and know-your-customer (KYC) procedures and keep records as required by law.
Why do you carry out identity checks?
Customer due diligence protects everyone. Identity verification helps prevent money laundering, terrorism financing and fraud, and it's a legal requirement for Regulated Dealers in Singapore. We handle your personal data in line with Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) and use it only for compliance and completing your transaction.
Is my information kept private?
Yes. Any identification or personal details you provide are collected, used and stored strictly for compliance and to fulfil your order or buyback, in accordance with the PDPA. We don't share your information for marketing without your consent.
