Privacy Policy

Who We Are
Big Bullion Pte Ltd is registered in Singapore and licensed by the Ministry of Law (License No. PS20250000846). This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it.
Information We Collect
We only collect what we need to run a transaction and meet our obligations as a licensed precious-metals dealer:
- Contact details - name, phone, email, and optionally address for delivery orders.
- Identity verification - where anti-money-laundering rules require it: your NRIC or passport number, your date of birth, and the identity documents you show us.
- Transaction records - details of purchases and sales, including payment confirmations.
How We Use It
- Quoting, scheduling appointments, and completing your transactions.
- Meeting our Know-Your-Customer (KYC) and anti-money-laundering (AML) obligations under Singapore law.
- Answering your questions on WhatsApp, Telegram, or email.
- Operational updates (e.g. delivery coordination). We do not send marketing emails without your consent.
- Measuring which of our adverts and pages actually lead to orders, so we spend less on advertising that does not work.
Marketing Messages
We only send price alerts and offers to customers who have asked for them. You can ask for them when you register, or at any time under Preferences in your account. If you have never asked, we do not send them.
You can stop them whenever you like: turn them off under Preferences in your account, use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any marketing email, or write to us at hello@bigbullionsg.com. We act on it as soon as we receive it.
This has no effect on the emails we send about your orders, payments, invoices and buybacks. Those are part of the transaction and are always sent.
We use HubSpot, a marketing platform, to write and send these messages. Only customers who have given us permission are added to it at all. HubSpot receives your name, email address, preferred language and a summary of your dealings with us — for example how many orders you have placed and when the last one was. It never receives your identity documents, your address, or anything about how we price our metal, and it may not use your details for its own purposes. HubSpot is based overseas, so these details are held outside Singapore.
Sharing Your Information
We do not sell or rent your information. We only share it:
- With service providers strictly to fulfil your transaction (e.g. couriers, payment processors).
- When required by law or a valid regulator request.
- With the companies that run parts of this business for us: Airwallex for card and PayNow payments, Resend for the emails we send you, HubSpot for the price alerts and offers we send to customers who have asked for them, and Vercel, Render and Supabase for hosting the website and its records. Each one gets only what it needs for that job, and none of them may use it for their own purposes. Meta is the one exception, and only for the advertising measurement described below.
How Long We Keep It
We retain transaction records for as long as required by Singapore regulations (currently five years for most precious-metals records), then dispose of them securely.
Advertising measurement data is held by Meta under Meta's own retention rules, not ours. The advertising cookies in your browser expire on their own - the main one after about 90 days.
Your Rights
You may ask us to:
- Confirm what information we hold about you.
- Correct anything that is wrong or out of date.
- Delete your data, where we have no legal obligation to keep it.
Reach out via the details below - we aim to respond within 30 days.
Where we rely on your consent to use your information, you may take that consent back at any time. Write to us at hello@bigbullionsg.com and we will stop that use - usually within a few days, and in any case within 30 days. Taking your consent back does not undo what we already did while we had it, and it does not affect the records the law requires us to keep. For price alerts and offers specifically, you can also change your choices in your account, or use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any such email.
You can also ask us to stop using your information for advertising measurement. Doing so does not affect your order history, and it does not change the records we are legally required to keep.
Cookies
Some cookies are strictly necessary and the site does not work without them: they keep you signed in, remember what is in your cart, hold your items while you are paying, and bring you back to the page you were on after you sign in. These do not identify you to anyone outside Big Bullion.
We also do our own counting, on our own systems. Your browser is given a random ID that lets us see how many different people looked at a product, added it to a cart or reached checkout. It identifies a browser, not a person: no name, email address or phone number is attached to it, and it is not shared with anyone. Clearing your browser's site data clears it.
We also let Meta (Facebook and Instagram) set two advertising cookies, named _fbp and _fbc. They are set when you visit the site, and they let us measure which of our adverts led to a purchase. They do not carry your name, email address or phone number.
You can turn advertising cookies off in your browser's settings, and you can control what Meta shows you through the ad settings in your Facebook or Instagram account. Turning them off does not stop you buying from us - only the measurement stops.
Advertising and Measurement
We advertise on Facebook and Instagram. To know whether that advertising works, we use Meta's measurement tools: a small piece of code on this website, and a direct report from our own systems when an order is completed.
What we send to Meta:
- A scrambled version of your email address and phone number.
- An anonymous browser ID, which identifies a browser rather than a person, and Meta's own advertising cookies.
- Your IP address and the type of browser you are using.
- The value of a completed order and which items it contained.
What we never send to Meta:
- Your name, or any address.
- Your NRIC, passport number or any other ID number, and your date of birth.
- The documents you give us for identity checks, and any notes on your order.
The scrambling is one-way. We do not send Meta your email address or phone number in a form that can be read. Meta scrambles the details it already holds in the same way and compares the two results - that is how it works out whether an advert led to a sale, without either side handing over a readable list.
This information goes to Meta Platforms Ireland Limited and Meta Platforms, Inc., which means information about your visit leaves Singapore. We send only the items listed above, and we require Meta to protect it to a standard comparable to the Personal Data Protection Act.
If you are visiting from Europe, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we ask before we set any advertising cookie, and nothing is measured until you say yes. You can change your answer at any time — including taking a yes back — with the “Cookie choices” link at the bottom of every page.
If you would rather we did not do this: turn off advertising cookies in your browser, use the ad settings in your Facebook or Instagram account, or simply write to us and we will stop. Asking us to stop does not affect your orders, your account, or anything you have already bought.
