Bring the gold and your NRIC or passport. We test it in front of you, and the money goes out by PayNow or bank transfer.
Before you come
It helps to know roughly what you have before you set off, so start on our sell page, which quotes bars, coins, jewellery and scrap against live spot. Treat that as an estimate rather than an offer, because the final price is set after we have weighed and tested what you actually bring in.
Every rate we pay is on one page, and it moves with the market.
Check what we pay todayMessage us on WhatsApp and we will arrange a time that suits you. You will find us at Golden Mile Tower, 6001 Beach Road, #02-21, and we are open Monday to Saturday from 12pm to 7pm.
What to bring
- The metal itself. We buy gold and silver bars and coins, and we buy gold jewellery and gold scrap.
- Your NRIC or your passport, because we verify identity on every buy-back.
- The assay card and the packaging, if the bar came with them.
- Nothing else. You do not need a receipt, and we buy back bars we did not sell you in the first place.
We ask for identification because we are registered with the Ministry of Law as a regulated precious metals dealer, and knowing who we buy from is part of what that registration asks of us. It covers anti-money-laundering duties only, and we do not give financial advice.
What happens at the counter
We test the metal in front of you, at the counter, so you can see each check as it happens. A bar or a coin goes through three of them.
- Precision weighing, which is where most fakes fail.
- Ultrasound, which reads what is inside the bar rather than what is on the outside.
- X-ray fluorescence, which confirms what the surface is made of.
The two machines doing that work are a Sigma Metalytics Precious Metal Verifier and an XRF analyser.
Jewellery and scrap work differently, because there is no single product to look the price up against. We weigh each piece and match it to a karat on our price list, and if you arrive with a bag of mixed jewellery we can take it in as one weighing and sort it afterwards. Either way you get a receipt showing the piece count and the weighed total, and we ask you to confirm it.
How the price is worked out
A bar or a coin is paid at the rate for that product, so there is nothing to work out on its purity.
Jewellery is paid on the metal inside it, which is the weighed weight multiplied by the karat we pay it at. We never read a number off a stamp and treat that as the purity, and if a piece matches no karat on our published list we leave it out of the total and tell you so.
Gold grams and silver grams are never added together, so a mixed batch always comes to two separate sums.
When you are paid
Nothing is priced until you have confirmed the tested weights and purities, so the figures you agree to are the figures you are paid on.
Below S$20,000 we pay by PayNow or bank transfer straight away. Larger amounts go out within one to two working days, and either way the payment goes to an account in your own name.
If you would rather buy than be paid
You do not have to leave with the money. If you would rather put the value towards bullion, you can, and we call that a trade-in. Part of the batch is then paid at a higher rate than a straight payout does, and we show you the exact figure before you confirm anything.
