A gold bar costs the spot value of its gold plus our premium. The table below shows both figures, for every gold bar we hold.
What the premium pays for
Spot is the world price for one troy ounce of gold, and it is where every price on this page starts. No dealer sells at spot, though, and what you pay above it is our premium. That premium covers the refiner's work in making the bar, our cost of holding it here until you want it, and our margin.
Spot moves every few seconds, which is why the figures below refresh while you read them. Our premium stays where it is, so the percentage you see drifts a little as gold rises and falls.

See every gold bar we holdWhy a small bar costs more per gram
Refining, assaying, stamping and packing cost a refiner about the same whatever the bar weighs. Spread across 2 g that fixed cost is a large share of the price, and spread across 1 kg it nearly disappears.
So the premium per gram falls as the bar gets bigger, and the table above is our own ladder of it. What you get for paying more per gram on a small bar is the freedom to sell 10 g when 10 g is all you want to sell, and for plenty of people that is worth the difference.
Weight is not the whole story either. Two bars that weigh the same can still price differently, because a commemorative design or a Kinebar takes more work to make than a plain minted bar and carries more premium for it.
GST adds nothing to an investment gold bar
Singapore's rate of Goods and Services Tax is 9%, and it has been 9% since 1 January 2024.
IRAS publishes the rate on its Current GST rates page. Read 15 September 2026.
Investment Precious Metals are exempt from that tax, and the rules for it sit in the IRAS e-Tax Guide GST: Guide on Exemption of Investment Precious Metals (IPM), Twentieth Edition. Read 15 September 2026.
A bar qualifies when an accredited refiner made it and it trades on the international market. Every gold bar we sell qualifies, so no GST is added at checkout and the price you see is the price you pay.
Jewellery is the exception. Gold jewellery does not qualify, so GST applies to it at the full 9%.
The refiner is on a public list
Any refiner whose bars we stock, we check against the Good Delivery List for gold, published by the London Bullion Market Association. Read 15 September 2026.
On the day we read that list, 15 September 2026, it named 67 accredited gold refiners. A bar from one of them is recognised and priced anywhere in the world, and that recognition is part of what your premium buys.
What the table does not tell you
The premium above is what you pay us today, and it is not what you would get back if you sold the bar to us tomorrow. We buy back every bar we sell, at a price set against live spot, and the gap between the two prices is the spread. Our product pages publish it beside the price.
Collecting from our shop costs you nothing, and you will find us at Golden Mile Tower, 6001 Beach Road, #02-21, open Monday to Saturday from 12pm to 7pm. If you would rather not carry gold across town, we send it to you insured, free on orders above S$50,000 and priced at checkout below that.
